I found this great project at The Artful Parent and also referenced Craftster and Neither Hip Nor Funky. I over research everything, so I think I read 5 or 6 tutorials in all for what is a really simple process. I planned on posting my own tutorial, complete with step-by-step pictures of the process. However–I forgot to take pictures of my first project (a Yoda onesie for a friend’s one year old), and only took random shots of my second. Anyway, here it is! Gavin’s Muno shirt.

MUNO2

muno

I made this a month or two ago, actually.  But Gavin never wanted to wear it.  I forced it on him today, thinking he was just refusing to get dressed, but no, he hates this shirt.  I’m not sure if he’s scared of Muno, even though he loves watching Yo Gabba Gabba, or if the paint made the shirt too itchy/stiff.

The next shirt I want to do is Brobee (also from Yo Gabba Gabba) on a yellow turtleneck.  I’ve wanted to screen print shirts for a long time, but I can’t afford to make a million screens with each being used for only one shirt.  Anyway, freezer paper is pretty easy; next time I’m going to find the Tulip soft fabric paint as opposed to the slick.
